Amite City Mayor, City Council takes oath of office Tuesday | Events

From City of Amite 

Amite City Mayor-Elect Milton "Buddy" Bel and City Council Members Neil Currier, Jonathan Foster, Arthur Leonard, Rose Sumrall and Emmanuel Zanders will be sworn in during a ceremony on Tuesday, Jan. 8 at 6:30 p.m. at Amite City Hall, 212 East Oak Street.

The City Clerk and Tax Collector Mary Lou Lee will also be given the oath of office.

Immediately following the ceremony, the first town council meeting will be held at 7 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
