U.S. Sentor David Vitter will be the keynote speaker at the Amite City Chamber of Commerce monthly luncheon on Wednesday August 8 at noon. The luncheon will be held at Mike’s Catfish Inn in Amite City.
Mike’s Catfish is located at 1009 West Oak Street. There is a $10 charge for the lunch. While this is
primarily for our Chamber members, non-chamber members are invited to attend.
For non-Chamber members $10 dollars at the door will be required whether you
are eating or not.
“Meeting with Louisianans and visiting communities across the state is one of the most
important parts of my job,” Vitter says. "I’m looking forward to hearing about the issues most important to
Louisianans and also discussing my efforts to bring Louisiana common sense to Washington –
like increasing our domestic energy supply to bring down the price of gas and getting our
economy going again.”
